About Us
We are here for those seeking a vacation or weekend getaway. Open all year round and located in the north woods of Wisconsin. Our cabins are snuggled deep in a woods filled with many kinds of trees. The winding roads that lead to the cabins were deer trails (a little wider now, with gravel) that pass by blackberries and apple trees ending at a spring fed pond with a fishing pier for big kids and a sandy beach for little ones to play (swimming not reccomended muddy bottom). In the winter ice skating is a possbility on the smaller pond, we can provide the shovel. Or even more fun would be sledding down "Big Buck Hill". You can bring your own sled or use one of our inner tubes.
Located in the southern part of Taylor County. Just a few miles from the Chequamegon National Forest. Boasting hundreds of thousands of acres of outdoor fun, including ATV, snowmobile and hiking trails and a 3,000 acre flowage that has easy access to a public boat launch, and known for it's annual bass fishing contest. (See our link page for more info on forest trails and activities.) Diamond Lake and Otter Lake offer beautiful scenry, swimming and picnic parks.
It is our wish that your stay to be relaxing and easy. The cabins are clean and well maintained, stocked with normal things you find at home. There are board games in the closet. Plenty of kitchen equipment to prepare meals. We don't have a lot of planned activities, but we have three fire pits, lawn chairs, horse shoes and our specialty is the bright night sky with an occaional view of the northern lights.
The ordinary woods up north is extraordinary to anyone who spends alot of time in the city. We have bird and other identifier books for fun and exploration.
Cabin #2
Hunters and Sportsman are most welcome. We have room for their extra equipment and place to clean their catch. Well behaved pets are allowed with additional charge.
